Listen up gas station owners, if you have a gas station here Florida the EPA is cracking down. Because of the recent reports of gasoline seeping into the ground and ground water the EP is imposing new gasoline storage tank rules.
By December 31st, 2009 if your gasoline storage tank does not meet these new gasoline storage tank rules you will face penalties and may not be able to have the required pollution insurance renewed. Without this insurance, you are out of business so you may have to get your system up to specs sooner than the deadline. Fines for noncompliance to the gasoline storage tank rules will range from $2,500 - $10,000 per day.
